![]() If you enjoy shows like Supernatural (many fans think Supernatural and Sleepy Hollow could exist in the same universe) or if you're an American history buff with a sense of humor – or both – you might want to give Sleepy Hollow a try. The show started out strong with an amazing first season and then it sort of meandered all over the place trying to find itself, but Tom Mison's exceptional performance as Ichabod Crane kept me watching. 'Sleepy Hollow' I, Witness (TV Episode 2015) on IMDb: Movies, TV, Celebs, and more. That’s a common problem nowadays but a new one for this series, one that’s been very well paced until now, and knowing that it’s from orders on high rather than a decision on the writers’ part doesn't make it any more satisfying. Im glad I didnt skip this Metroidvanias Steam Next Fest demo its more than pixel art Hollow Knight and has maybe the best. So instead of barreling into the final episodes of the season with a full head of steam, Sleepy Hollow currently feels hesitant, promising big things week after week without delivering much in the way of progress. Hopefully one of these final episodes will do just that, because it’s a real waste to have John Noble ready to go but only show up for a few seconds. It’s a promising direction for the show to take her in, since she still hasn't managed to fit in with the regular gang, but these scenes can’t help but feel like they’re just buying time until they’re allowed to have an entire episode focus on the more serialized parts of the series. But aside from finding peace in their relationship, all the business with the Fenestella seems to have been over nothing unless they come back to it in future episodes to see if anything can be recovered. They now become aware of a new evil that must be addressed, and join forces with old friends to face this new threat to Sleepy Hollow. With the episode zeroing in on the lost friendship between Ichabod and Jefferson, Weber manages to quickly give him a playful personality without sacrificing gravitas (and I especially enjoyed the shared laugh they have over his jab at Benjamin Franklin). Abbie Mills receives a message from Ichabod Crane after not hearing from him for several months. Steven Weber does terrific understated work here, fitting in with the wide-ranging tone of the show as if he’s a series regular. Still, it’s important to remember that Sleepy Hollow does indeed remember how to entertain, both with the regular cast and guest stars. What we get here is another entertaining episode that wraps up with a scene that’s more a perfunctory check-in than an enticing teaser for what’s to come. But the storytelling groove that the series had found at the beginning of the season has tapered off since the mid-season climax. ![]() That’s not to say it hasn't still been enjoyable, since as long as the Witnesses remain the focus Nicole Beharie and Tom Mison have proven to be a very watchable team.
