the motor and trany seemed solid strong pull good power. i looked the motor over and took one of my Marines who works on HMMWV's everyday. its got a small lift on it for $13,800 out the door tax and title. iv always owned a ford f-150 but currently im looking to purchase a 2006 f-250 with 135000 miles on it from a dealer. i'm currently stationed at Camp Pendleton CA. I hear some people fill them up and keep them, some remove them and clean them so they do not crystallize, any real world recommendations? Still not sure what I am going to do with the DEF Tank. If anyone else has any tips please feel free to add them in. If I can think of anything else, I'll add it to the thread. I think that is all I have for any tips to make the delete install a bit easier for the next guy. I only have about 65 miles on it, as I just finished it this afternoon. After about 40 miles of driving i was able to put the back the little bit of fluid left over.Įverything has been fine since the install. Put almost all of it back in before even firing it up. I put the new S&B airintake on and filled the radiator back up. Once I had the intake removed I was able to pull the cooler out easily and finished with the other block off plates. That worked and I cannot see how I could have done it without removing the intake. So what I had to do was remove the upper plastic section of the intake so I could come in from the side. I tried and lost a wrench behind the cooler (it came out later during my test drive! Score!). Add to that I couldnt even see the 10mm nut I was supposed to remove. But there was absolutely no way I was going to get my big hands between the cooler and the cowl. I don't know if my set up is a little different than other peoples because I havent heard of people not being able to get to it. The instructions say to remove a 10mm bolt on the backside of the cooler which holds down a hard line. Once I had it lose I was able to pick it up and move it forward only slightly. I removed all the bolts holding down the EGR cooler and gave the cooler a couple light taps with a rubber mallet to break it lose. This is where things became a real pain in the *** for me. Next few steps, is basically just follow the directions from Sinister (very straight forward) coolant, lines, sensors, airbox ect. (oh yeah I removed the grill to make everything a bit easier to get to) Or make a contraption of some sort where you can go in from the front side. The driverside is pretty easy to get to, the passenger side is a real pain the *** to open it up, just get creative with wrenches, pliers, whatever. I attached it to the nipple and opened up the ****pet. I bought two 5 gallon buckets, one for each side. All was good, so I moved on to the EGR delete.ĮGR Delete: Sinister full EGR delete kit w/ block off plate with tapped hole for EGT sensor.ġst Step: Drain hot and cold sides of coolant. Next I made sure my H&S Mini Maxx downloaded emissions off tune and then fired up the truck to make sure everything was good with the exhaust and the mini maxx did in fact get rid of any potential emissions code. Next I installed my 4" exhaust with muffler, very straight forward, no need to get into any details. No issues there, probably easier with another person supporting the other end. Then I was able to lower the DPF back and down (bench press style). Next I unbolted the last two hangers from the frame, keeping them attached to the DPF. I did this so I was sure I wouldnt break any off if I somehow dropped the DPF during removal. I first took all of the sensors out and unhooked them from the frame. The actual DPF section was a little more work. I kept the hangers attached to the frame for these two sections, as it was no issue to slide the exhaust out of the hangers (i did hit them with some wd40 before hand which probably helped them to slide out. I started with the tail pipe section, then the next section. With the DPF delete, it was pretty straight forward. I just wanted to give a brief overview of the full delete on my 2014 F350, hopefully it will help some future deleters with any issues or questions.ĭPF/EGR Delete: Sinister full EGR Delete Kit, 4" stainless exhaust with muffler, H&S Mini Maxx Tuner.
